Former Citizen TV presenter Jacque Maribe lands a prestigious position in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management.
Maribe's appointment comes less than a month after she was acquitted of charges in the gruesome murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, a case that spanned almost six years.
In response to her appointment, she expressed, “The truth, which always sets us all free, has worked and I thank God for everything, let us wait and see if the hand of God is revealing itself in my new appointment.”
Addressing Jacque Maribe's appointment, Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, Head of the Ministry of Public Service, emphasized that it signifies President Ruto's administration's commitment to providing equal opportunities to all individuals, regardless of past setbacks.
Kuria also clarified that he was not responsible for Maribe's appointment; rather, it was made by the Public Service Commission.
In her new role, Jacque Maribe will be working closely with Public Service CS Moses Kuria, to oversee all communication-related matters at the ministry.
Distinguished political figures like Dennis Itumbi have extended their congratulations to Maribe on her appointment, wishing her God's blessings as she embarks on her new role. They also expressed gratitude to CS Moses Kuria for his support of the younger generation.
Regarding the Monica Kimani murder case, the latest update is the main suspect, Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie, is scheduled to receive his sentencing on March 13 after being found guilty.
