Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki announces an extension of curfew in six counties where security is ongoing to weed out bandits.

This comes after a recent banditry attack at Enasoit Ranch in Laikipia County that left a National Police Reservist critically injured in a cattle rustling attempt.

As the CS toured Laikipia operation zone assured the residents that the area will be under full surveillance by police officers to ensure security.

In addition, Kindiki stated that the government intends to devote more resources to combating these bandits by arming security officers with more sophisticated weapons.

The government is also set to bring on board all NPR officers with the NHIS to provide medical support to police officers who might get injured during the process.

The Naibor ASTU camp security officers and NPR officers were lauded for repelling the bandits and recovering the stolen cattle herd at Enasoit Ranch.
