Inside President William Ruto’s State Appointments

Having obtained state positions, several legislators who came in last in the August 2022 elections can now smile at what political analysts say is rewarding Loyalty by President William Ruto.

The most recent appointments made by President William Ruto included former Westlands MP candidate Nelson Havi being named to the Retirement Benefits Authority board and former Vihiga MP Yusuf Chanzu being named head of the National Housing Corporation board.

Sakwa Bunyasi has earned a state position after failing in the Busia Gubernatorial race to Paul Otuoma. He has been named the board's chairman for Vision 2030 Delivery.

As President Ruto rescinded Mary Chao Mwadime's appointment as board chair of the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa), Daniel Rono has been named to the position for a three-year term.

Jack Ranguma, a former governor of Kisumu, has been chosen to lead and serve on the board of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority.
