Kiambu Members of the County Assembly have planned to impeach Governor Kimani Wamatangi.

Speaking exclusively to Look UP Digital, a source close to the County legislatures revealed that an impeachment was tabled on Wednesday 26 April 2023, and by noon, the signatures were 23 for elected MCAs.

“As we speak things are scorching for our current Governor, unfortunately, he'll have to be our former.” the source that opted to be kept anonymous authoritatively confirmed.

Look UP Digital sleuths did not stop there, we reached out to a number of the Kiambu County Assembly Members who also confirmed that the Governor was on the verge of losing his seat in what the MCAs said was a Misuse of Power.

“We have one Casual worker, a woman to be precise with a three-month contract she has been allocated a county vehicle and a driver.” One MCA said.

“We are making Kiambu County great again.” The MCA Concluded.

This comes four months after a group of Kiambu MCAs protested in January outside the office of Governor Kimani Wamatangi alleging that he had neglected to include them in the management of county issues.

The MCAs asserted that the governor had been disparaging them, and they had vowed to stop it by impeaching him something that did not materialize.

Kimani Wamatangi won the race for governor of Kiambu County With 348,371 votes beating his closest opponent Patrick Wainaina who got 237,361 votes.
