The Cabinet Secretary of Education Ezekiel Machogu has officially released the placement exam results for the grade six candidates.
While releasing the result he announced that parents waiting to know which schools their form one candidate had been placed to access the placement forms on the official website of their ministry at www.education.go.ke.
According to Machogu, the form one selection was fully computerized from the National to the county levels indicating that the process was interference-proof.
He has stated that candidates, parents or guardians can now access all categories of schools that are available online through the ministry’s website www.education.go.ke and any assistance or enquiry might be obtained by writing an email to place@education.go.ke or by texting the candidate's index number to 2223.
President William Ruto had directed the Treasury to set aside the capitation per student at Ksh15,000 per learner, to facilitate free learning in all Junior Secondary Schools. Machogu further revealed that the government would spend Ksh9.6 billion to sustain the program.
