The Kenya Meteorological Department which works around the clock to ensure that the country is updated on the weather conditions is mandated by the government to address weather and climate water-related issues that affect social and economic development.
It has recently made remarks about the general weather conditions in the country.
Most of the country is expected to see sunny and dry weather over the course of the upcoming week, according to the meteorological department.
However, the weatherman said that sporadic rainfall is anticipated across various areas of the Lake Victoria Basin, Highlands West of the Rift Valley, and the Southern Rift Valley in the recently released weekly prediction.
"The high temperatures anticipated across the country could cause heat exhaustion and other heat-related discomforts like headaches and weariness. Therefore, it is recommended that the public drink enough water and refrain from working outside, especially in the afternoons, the Met department stated.
