Look UP TV can now reveal the number of counties that have already submitted form 34A from their polling stations to the constituency tallying centers.
At the constituency tallying center, form 34A is given to the constituencies’ presiding officers, who subsequently fill form 34B before submitting them to the presidential election presiding officer.
The counties include Busia, Nyeri, Siaya, Tharaka-Nithi, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Kirinyaga, Nyandarua, Samburu, Taita Taveta, Makueni, Mombasa and Murang’a.
Others are Nyamira, Isiolo, Kisii, Kitui, Meru, Nyandarua, Kilifi, Kericho, Homabay, Embu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Diaspora, Bungoma and Bomet.
Nyeri, Bomet, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kericho, and Uasin Gishu were among the first counties to submit their forms.
There has been several challenges and delays reported at various polling stations, which explains why some of them are yet to deliver all their results.
By August 11, around 4:17 a.m., almost all counties had submitted at least 99.47 percent of the results. However, Wajir county had submitted only 87.05 percent.
A total of 46,072 of 46,229 polling stations had successfully sent form 34A at the time of filing this report.
The electoral body is expected to announce the final results of the presidential vote within seven days from the day of voting.
“The results on the public website are the same that the commission will use to announce the results,” IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said.
