Haaland Dismantle RB Leipzig in The UEFA Champions League Quest

Manchester City has now advanced to the quarter-finals together with the other finalists Chelsea, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Bayern Munich.

Manchester City advanced to the quarter-finals on Tuesday night after Erling Haalaand scored 5 goals in breaking several huge records. Manchester City thrashed RB Leipzig at the Etihad with a total score of 7 to 0 giving them a total of 8 to 1 on aggregate.

The Norwegian 22-year-old is the third player to score 5 goals in a single champions league after the famous footballer Lionel Messi and Adriano Luiz Moreover, he has also stood out in the Tommy Johnson club records for the most goals scored in a single season since 1929.

The other two goals were from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne who made it to the last 8 of the champions league for the sixth season. The other teams who qualified for the quarter-finals include Chelsea who battled with Dortmund on 14th March ending the match with a score of  2 to 0, Inter Millan also faced Porto on Wednesday which was a very boring match leading to a 90-minute goalless match.

Earlier last week, Bayern Munich defeated PSG and scored 2-0 and a 3-0 on aggregate in addition Benfica came in victorious on the same day after beating Club Brugge 5 to 1 and 7 to 1 on aggregate. All 5 qualifiers will get to know their opponents on Thursday. 

Former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand thinks only Bayern Munich and Napoli can deny the citizens a chance to the semifinals.

 Although Arsenal is still a 5-point lead in the premiere league  Man City is now confident about making it to the quarter-finals and hoping for an amazing final.
