Governor Wamatangi Faces The County MCAs

First time governor of Kiambu County Kimani Wa Matangi faces probe as the MCAs in the county take no monkey business.

MCAs in Kiambu County are threatening to rebel against Kiambu Governor Kimani Wa Matangi once more because of what they perceive to be his repressive management style.

The MCAs have surrounded the governor twice in the past five months, accusing him of abusing his position to advance his foundation.

The county representatives, who are on both the majority and minority sides of the House, gathered outside his office in order to speak with him about what they claim are important concerns affecting the welfare and well-being of the county’s citizens.

"If you look at our wards, no roads are being built, despite the fact that we have Ksh. 100 million set aside for scholarships and millions to build roads. As of as now, bursary committees have been disbanded,” according to the MCAs.

The governor is accused by the MCAs of excluding them from the plans to award bursaries by creating ward-level bursary committees without their knowledge or participation
