Governor Lenku’s Impeachment Looming?

Barely a day after they absconded a county training focused on livable towns and sustainable pastoralism, the Kajiado MCAs who are allied to United Democratic Alliance (UDA) walked out of the county assembly as governor Lenku stood to address them.

This escalates from the issue of unfair distribution of bursaries and the long almost forgotten initiative to work on the county wage bill.

The members of county assembly are also fuming over the ongoing illegal employment of workers.

The UDA allied MCAs say that they have been excluded from the county bursary committees hence their rebellious attitude towards Lenku.

This may be a borrowed move from Meru county assembly members when they were seeking to impeach Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

The out bursts and continuous rebellion to the governor slowly led to the uprising impeachment that would have completely brought her down were it not for the senate.

As Lenku continues to turn a blind eye to these outrageous acts he carried on to address Azimio allied MCAs stating that his core business is to deal with the hunger situation in Kajiado.

He termed the act as betrayal and a sideshow as he reiterates that the bursaries are distributed according to the legislation passed by the assembly.

Lenku states that the same legislation is used to expend the money allocated to needy learners.

It is a scene yet to unfold as to how Governor Ole Lenku will plot out his responsibility in the midst of such opposition.
