There is a heavy presence of police officers in the capital city Nairobi, ahead of the second round of Azimio La Umoja Anti-government protests.
Videos seen by Look Up Digital desk revealed several teams of anti-riot police officers stationed at strategic entry and exit points into the Central Business District.
Look Up Tv reporters have reported security operatives along busy streets in the city, including Kenyatta Avenue, the KenCom Bus Station area and the Archives in Nairobi's CBD.
In anticipation of Azimio's planned protest, most businesses in Nairobi's Central Business District are still closed although not to the level that was witnessed Monday last week at the onset of the protests with the same picture reported in the Kibra constituency.
Azimio’s protest enters its second week as the opposition leader relentlessly pushes the government to respond on his irreducible minimums on lowering the cost of living, opening the election servers, and stopping what they have termed as the unconstitutional reconstitution of IEBC commissioners.
Inspector of General police Japhet Koome has already declared the planned Azimio protests illegal.
