Gor Smashes Wazito to Top of the Table.

The 19-time champions of the Kenyan Premier League, Gor Mahia, got a heavy win of 4-0 against Wazito FC to top the FKF Premier League. Serikal super striker Benson Omala scored a hat-trick to sum up his goals to 15, he is currently the top scorer with 14 matches played at the moment.

The match was held at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani. Gor Mahia went on top of the table with 33 points with a game in hand, Nzoia Sugar are at the second place with 31 points.

Omala got his second hat-trick of the season after doing so against Vihiga Bullets. The former Western Stima’s point man scored all the three goals in the first half to secure a win for the former champions.

Gor Mahia coach Jonnathan McKinstry says his team was very clinical and the goal scoring was good. Commenting on Benson Omala form, McKinstry says the goal poacher is currently at his top form but the credit must also go to the whole team.

“The team's goal scoring was impressive today; we utilized the chances to win the game”.

“Benson Omala is in top form this season; he is improving a lot but we must also recognize the whole team’s effort. The position we are at the table doesn’t matter, what matters the most in securing the points in each and every game”. Says McKinstry
On the other hand Samuel Odhiambo, Wazito FC coach conceded the defeat saying that his team is still young, the players have tried since most of them are playing the top tier league for the first time.

“The team tried but unfortunately, we lost. Our team is still young; we are building a team of youngsters who are playing in the top tier league for the very first time. We lost because the players lacked concentration and we even arrived so late but I hope we will improve”. Says Odhiambo
