Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki is currently swimming in a pool of praises from Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for his work ethic and management model.
Kenya’s second in command is seemingly impressed by how the Interior minister is administering his duties to make the country a better place.
In his speech at the ‘infamous’ Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County, DP Gachagua urged the other Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries to follow suit and emulate Kindiki’s management model of fully delivering on their mandate.
He went on to state that President Ruto made wise decisions in building his government and that he is pleased with every single position they hold.
On that point, President Ruto came out to defend his actions of lecturing Cabinet Secretaries during the signing of the 2023/2024 Ministerial Performance Contracts, claiming that he did it on purpose to ensure that the ministers are in check and that he does not fail Kenyans.
“I want to ensure the People of Mount Kenya and the people of Kenya that I will not let you down. When you see me exerting pressure on members of my cabinet, it’s because I don’t want to fail you,” said President Ruto.
President Ruto expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Mount Kenya for voting for him in the 2022 general elections, saying that their support really came as a surprise.
“The people of Mt. Kenya did the unimaginable and the unexpected. Many people didn’t believe Mt. Kenya residents will vote for an individual from outside Central Region by almost 90% of their vote. You have made our country proud.”
