Former Treasury Official Goes Missing, Family Cries For Help

On Saturday, June 24, former Treasury staffer Tom Mokaya Osinde was reported missing.

During a press conference, his family claimed that his automobile had been recovered, vandalized, and abandoned in Kilgoris, Transmara West.

The family also stated that they last spoke with him on Friday, June 23, when he drove away from home. 

Osinde is the brother to the late Ambassador Ken Nyauncho Osinde, who served in Germany from 2010 and 2014.

The family requested assistance, requesting the public or anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them or submit a report at the nearest police station.

According to the information available to us, Osinde studied economics at the University of Nairobi. He worked for the Treasury Department for several years after graduating. 

Osinde quit the Treasury Department in 2010 to start his own firm. He was a prosperous businessman who eventually purchased a vast estate in Ngata, Farm, Nakuru. 

Everyone who knew him has been shocked by his disappearance. His family is frantic to find him and has asked anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts to contact them.
