Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued a stern warning to Jubile critics and the current administration saying that the Jubilee party is not dead and it will bounce back to its feet sooner than they expect.

On Monday, May 22, the Former head of state scolded disobedient party members, claiming they had betrayed the party.

Uhuru remarked that these members who he termed as Unfaithful had violated the party constitution by advancing the goals of other political parties outside the Azimio la Umoja alliance when speaking at Ngong Racecourse during the party's National Delegates Convention (NDC).

The party chief revoked the following individuals from their respective posts through Secretary-General of Jubilee Jeremiah Kioni:

Jimmy Angweny, Kanini Kega, Naomi Shaban, Nelson Dzuya, Joshua Kutuny, Mutava Musyimi, and Boniface Kinoti Gatobu, a former member of the Buuri Legislative Assembly.

Joel Kibe, Advice Mundalo, Wambui Gichuru, the executive director, and Rachael Nyamaye were also not exempt.

Uhuru declared that the rebellious members did not speak for the majority opinion inside the party as he gave his address, reading the riot act to them.

"Those who received the limited positions that Jubilee had to share now claim that they will steer the party. No, their responsibility is to uphold Jubilee's platform or resign so that we may choose replacements” Uhuru noted.

The former head of state did not spare the current administration who have been seen criticizing him and telling him to retire from active politics.

"They used to insult me and I stayed silent, They stole goats and burnt farms thinking that will intimidate me, but the people who gave me this party told me to protect it and I will do so until they select another party leader," he warned.

He denied rumors that he would leave politics and stated that as the party's leader, he would continue to fight for the party's objectives.
