Former Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) news anchor, Bonnie Musambi, has been appointed as Director of Coordination in the office of state house spokesperson.

On Twitter, Musambi acknowledged the appointment and expressed his gratitude for the new position as well as his commitment to serving the government and the people of Kenya.

“My immeasurable gratitude to you Mr President, for my appointment as director coordination, office of state house spokesperson I promise my full dedication and loyalty to you and all Kenyans. To my family, fans and political supporters, I will never let you down,” he tweeted.

The former news anchor, resigned from KBC last year after 14 years of service to run for Kitui Central MP in the August 2022 General Election under the UDA party ticket.

In his new role, Musambi will be working closely with State House Spokesman Hussein Mohamed to oversee all communication-related matters at the Office of the President.

This comes a few days after the renowned news anchor's name didn't show up on the list of Cabinet Administrative Secretaries (CAS) named by President William Ruto.
