Fire Razes Down Property Worth Millions along Kiambu Road

A section of businesses along Kiambu Road on Sunday afternoon, February 26 burned down destroying millions worth of property and leaving the owners incurring losses.

A Video seen by Look Up TV Digital showed smoke billowing from Kapital furniture building and spreading to Garden motors along Kiambu Road.

There were no reported casualties, according to police officers, who are yet to determine what caused the inferno.

The owner of Kapital Furniture stated that he was not on the premises when the news was delivered to him. The exact amount of loss, however, is yet to be determined.

“I was not at the premises but I have been told that the business is all burnt down. I am on my way to determine the exact amount of loss made,” the owner stated.

According to the owner of Garden Motors, the fire started at around 3:00 pm and spread from the neighbouring premises, Kapital Furniture. However, they were able to save their valuables.

Witness account on the incident indicate that the fire started around 2:00 pm on Sunday afternoon, February 26.
