Fight ODM And Raila Doggedly For PAC Chair, Didmus Barasa Advises Babu Owino

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has advised Embakasi MP Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino not to relent in his fight against alleged attempts to block him from key leadership positions in the ODM party.

In a message shared on Twitter addressed to Babu that has since gone viral, Barasa urged the lawmaker that he should not accept being shortchanged from National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chair’s seat he had been promised.

“@HEBabuOwino Owino when a hyena wants to eat its children, it begins by accusing them of smelling like a goat. Don’t accept to be used and dumped by The ODM Party and @RailaOdinga ,” tweeted Didmus.

Barasa’s statement comes just a day after Babu took to Twitter to complain against attempts to block him from key positions in ODM despite having served the party faithfully for years.

“ODM Party, so many youth and myself sacrificed a lot and used our resources in the party over the years, our pay is betrayal and blackmail. It is OK. Tomorrow is another day,” Babu posted.

Shortly later, the former president of the university of Nairobi added he will fight viciously against all plans by the ODM party to award-nominated MP John Mbadi his promised PAC chair position.

The lawmaker added that Mbadi had already been rewarded for being nominated to Parliament and hence didn’t deserve any other leadership role courtesy of the ODM party.

“@TheODMparty With Due respect why should Hon John Mbadi come down from the position of Majority leader to PAC chair which was reserved for me? This will not happen!!! Over my dead body…Young people must get their space.. it’s now or never. He has been rewarded through Nomination,” Babu added.
