Ferdinand Omanyala Emerges Winner in 60 Meters Sprint in Paris

After his record-breaking win in 60-meter indoor sprints at Mondeville, France on Wednesday night. Omanyala once more wins in 60 meters sprints that were held in France on Saturday.

In the first heats Omanyala settled first by timing 6.61 seconds to qualify for the finals. However, in the finals Omanyala won by clocking 6.56 seconds hence reducing his record of 6.55 seconds by 0.1second in the 60-meter sprints. Arthur Cisse from Cote d'Ivoire came second once more by timing 6.57 seconds.

The commonwealth gold medalist was delighted by his performance and his timing were good and Omanyala says his season has started off well.

“This was another win and good performance for me. I am happy the new season has really kicked impressively”.

The Africa’s fastest man now waits for his final race on Wednesday, where he will travel to Lieven, France. After the competition, Omanyala will be back in Kenya to prepare for the 24th meeting in Nairobi for the athletic Kenya competitions.
