Africa's fastest sprinter, Ferdinand Omanyala has yet again amazed the world by beating the Italian champion Marcell Lamont Jacobs in the 60m finals at a meeting in Lievin, France on Wednesday.
This was Omanyala’s first win against the 2020 Olympics 100 meters champion, Jacobs, clocking his best time of 6.54 seconds. The Italian champion came in second after clocking his best time of 6.57 seconds while Arthur Cisse from Cote d’Ivoire came in third at 6.59 seconds.

The celebrated sprinter came in second at the elite indoor track Miramas meeting on February 3rd after timing 6.60 seconds before he won the Mondeville meeting on February 8th clocking 6.55 seconds.
He then availed himself at the meeting in Paris on February 11th clocking 6.56 seconds where he missed his own national record by 0.1 seconds
Mary Moraa on the other hand improved after she came in second in the women’s 800m clocking 2; 00; 61 behind the British champion Keely Hodgkinson who clocked the leading time of 1:57:71.
