Erling Haaland's impressive performance, marked by his first four goals in the Premier League, propelled Manchester City closer to a historic fourth consecutive English league title, with just three wins separating them from the milestone.

The game took an early turn in City's favor when they were awarded a penalty in the 12th minute, courtesy of a favorable decision from referee Craig Pawson, though it was a help they scarcely required.

Haaland confidently dispatched the penalty, sending Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa the wrong way. He doubled his tally from the spot just before halftime, calmly converting another penalty after being brought down by Nelson Semedo.

In addition to his penalty goals, Haaland showcased his aerial prowess by scoring with a remarkable far-post header, soaring unchallenged to meet Rodri's cross and directing the ball into the corner of the net.

Just a minute after Hwang Hee-chan had narrowed the gap for the visiting team, Haaland struck once more, capitalizing on Phil Foden's exquisite lofted pass.

This goal brought Haaland's tally to 25 Premier League goals for the season, putting him five goals ahead of  Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer in the Golden Boot standings.

Julian Alvarez added the finishing touch in the 85th minute before the final whistle, securing City's 5-1 victory. With this win, City remained one point behind Arsenal in the standings, but with three games left to Arsenal's two.
