Eliud Kipchoge, one of the greatest athletes of all time, is eyeing to register another world record today at the Boston Marathon. The 38 year old is participating in the Boston Marathon for the first time and he will have to beat Geoffrey Mutai’s record of 2:03:02 of 2013 to make a mark at one of the big marathons in the world.

The Boston Marathon is one of the biggest events in each year’s calendar and every athlete wishes to take part in the competition. The Chicago marathon winner has the best time of 2:01:09 which is a World record.

In addition, Kipchoge has won all ten marathons he participated in between the year 2014 and 2019. The athletic legend recorded his first major win in 2003 at the World Championships in the 5,000 meters after meeting his current coach Patrick Sang.

Eliud Kipchoge also holds the record of the first athlete to run under two-hours after he made the record at Vienna for the Ineos Marathon in the year 2019, where he clocked 1hr 59mins and 40 sec. The Ineos Marathon was the subject of a documentary about his great achievement.

However, Kipchoge is coming from an injury and he is eyeing up to make the best time today as he will be on the ground alongside other Kenyan, that is, Evan Chebet and Benson Kipruto.
