World Marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge already has his eyes on the "next" world record.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist says he is ready for the next year’s Boston Marathon which is scheduled on April 17 where he will compete against Evans Chebet and previous winners Benson Kipruto (2021) and Lelisa Desisa (2013,2015)

"I will not change my training, I trust my training is good enough to handle any course. In the next four months, I think I will be ready to go through the Boston route. I have been running in flat courses in Europe, why not run in Boston and enjoy the experience of running uphill and downhill," Kipchoge said in a media session moderated by Chris Lotsbom, Media director at the Boston Athlete Association.

The 38-year-old said he is determined to win the two remaining World Marathon Majors title which is Boston and New York.

"This book is not yet finished. There are more chapters to write. My next chapter, Boston." he said. The 127th Boston Marathon will feature 30,000 participants.

Kipchoge's last marathon resulted in a new world record when he ran a time of 2:01:09 for the win at September's Berlin Marathon.
