EACC Cracks Down On Corrupt Traffic Officer In Kitale: Dramatic Arrest Unfolds

In a significant turn of events today, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) continued its crackdown in Kitale, targeting a notorious traffic officer openly involved in collecting bribes in Uasin Gishu County the individual in question, Douglas Ndonyo.

Addressing the media EACC head of communications Eric Ngumbi noted that the commission, conducting meticulous surveillance, discovered a shocking modulus Oparandi: the corrupt officers were collecting bribes in shifts. 

Douglas was apprehended in Eldoret during a planned operation by the EACC sleuths.

However, the arrest did not unfold without resistance. A group of unidentified individuals attempted to thwart the arrest, shedding light on potential connections to the public.

Amidst the chaos of the arrest, a journalist found themselves injured in the scuffle, underscoring the intensity of the situation.

Notably, confrontations with law enforcement can escalate, as evidenced by some officers resorting to opening fire when faced with arrest.

Two suspects are now facing charges in court, as the EACC continues its relentless pursuit of justice against corruption. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those committed to upholding the law in the fight against corruption.
