Drama At Jamhuri High, Protestors Cite Late Arrival Of Two Ballot Boxes

Chaos erupted at Jamhuri High School tallying center after youths demanded to know the origin of two extra ballot boxes and why they were brought in without seals.

The youths, allegedly voters who were at the center to witness the counting of votes, claimed that the two ballot boxes were being brought together under mysterious circumstances.

“We don’t know where the two boxes came from and why they were brought here,” an election observer said.

The election observer added that the voters raised questions about where the two ballot boxes came from since all ballot boxes were delivered immeditaly voting was over at the polling centers.

“Why has it taken so long for those two boxes to get here when we are almost done counting?” he questioned.

He added that there was also an issue of delay in the announcement of the results which caused fear.

“The counting of the results was done a while ago but so far the winner has not yet been announced,” he said.

The observe termed the delay as an attempt to manipulate and ‘impose’ a winner on the voters.
