“Kindiki risked his life, he is fortunate to receive a lucrative job as compensation,” the Deputy President said, acknowledging President William Ruto’s decision to reward his allies who stood by him.

“Today's interior minister, Professor Kithure Kindiki, is a man who I don't know whether he will write in his book that he was almost assassinated on August 14," The Deputy President Concluded.

In his speech, Ruto praised Aden Duale’s book, calling it a masterpiece that tells a tale deserving of being read by many generations in the future.

"For The Record is a story of leadership, leadership skills, public service, and a desire to change lives, particularly in northern Kenya. It offers remarkable access to important political figures and events.” Said President Ruto.
