Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hurls jabs at ODM Party leader Raila Odinga during a pass-out parade at the Administration Police Training College (APTC) in Embakasi.
DP Gachagua who strongly comes out as a major critic of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga ponders the future of our military and regimented forces parades if the opposition secured the country’s top most coveted seat.
“What would have been the future of our parades for the military and disciplined forces if things had gone the other way?” he said.
Speaking at the Administration Police Training College (APTC) in Embakasi, Gachagua stated that President William Ruto inspected the parade in quick time, with zeal and strength.
“I have seen President Ruto inspect the parade in quick time, with energy and vigor,” Gachagua stated.
During the ceremony held on December 11, Rigathi Gachagua revealed that he was once an Administration Police Officer and he was privileged to be presiding the 58th passing out parade of AP Police with President Ruto.
"Mr. President, 32-years-ago I was on this same parade ground in another colorful passing out parade graduating as an Administration Police officer,” he said.
He also went ahead to advise Administrative Police to refrain from political engagements.
"If you want to engage in politics, just remove your uniform and give them at the gate. You can't serve two masters at the same time," Gachagua said.
More than 5,000 police officers have been released to service following nine months of training at various National Police Service training institutions.
