DP Gachagua Proposes Direct Flights between Kenya and Columbia to Ease Trade

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has today hosted Columbia’s Vice President Francia Márquez Mina on her first day visit to Kenya.

The Agenda of the Kenya- Columbia Business Forum meeting in Serena hotel was to discuss the advancement of partnership between the two nations in sectors such as technology, trade among others.

The two leaders are seemingly committed to exploring opportunities to work together and build sustainable developments for the two countries.

In a statement, DP Gachagua noted that there might be a great opportunity for Columbia to advance coffee production as it is known for its potential in the sector.

“There is also a great opportunity for us to partner with Colombia to advance coffee production because both countries are renowned globally for their potential in the sector,” said Gachagua.

In addition, the second in command, is looking forward to introducing direct flights between Kenya and Columbia as it will ease the people-to-people travels.

“We will work on making direct flights between our countries a reality for us to bring our interactions closer and more frequently,” he noted.

Rigathi Gachagua is now calling on investors to invest due to its strategic location, highly-skilled human resources and stability.

“Colombia investors are invited to partnering with us in this exciting journey," said DP.

Columbia’s Vice President has praised Kenya as a destination of trade and investments.
