If the latest development is anything to go by, the visit by jubilee members of parliament to president William Ruto at statehouse Nairobi could see the Azimio affiliated leaders slowly warm up to the Kenya kwanza.

The Jubilee leaders led by nominated MP Sabina Chege and EALA MP Kanini Kega on Monday 23rd of January had a working breakfast with President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at the statehouse.

The meeting came days after the jubilee MPs met with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua at Harambee House Annex on the 20th of January 2023 where the DP stated they discussed matters of development.

Other jubilee party leaders that are part of the visit are Mark Mwenje (Embakasi West), Amos Mwago (Starehe), Daniel Karitho (Igembe Central), Stanley Muthama (Lamu West) and Joseph Githuku (Lamu). David Kiaraho (Ol Kalou), Irene Njoki (Bahati), Zachary Kwenya (Kinangop), Shadrack Mwiti (South Imenti)

President William Ruto has been warming up to leaders he was once affiliated with in the past in attempts to gain the much support he needs to run the government. The President has stretched his hand to the Jubilee party MPs as he was their Deputy party leader at the jubilee party before he fell out with president Uhuru Kenyatta.

The leaders who vigorously campaigned for Azimio party leader Raila Odinga and became harsh critics of William Ruto when he was the deputy president might have had a change of heart

Conspicuously missing from the breakfast was jubilee party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni who has recently alleged that the August 8th elections were rigged and that Azimio party leader Raila Odinga won the elections.

The meeting happened hours ahead of the Azimio coalition rally that is expected to happen at the Kamukunji grounds led by Raila Odinga.
