The Movement for Democracy and Growth Party (MDG) is gearing up for the 2027 General Election with an ambitious countrywide membership recruitment campaign.
Party Leader and Ugenya MP David Ochieng is set to spearhead this initiative, starting with a series of delegates' conventions in western Kenya.
This weekend, Ochieng will officially launch the recruitment drive in Siaya County on Friday, June 14, followed by Kakamega on Monday, June 17.
These conventions will not only focus on recruiting new members but will also see the party conducting branch elections to strengthen its grassroots presence. "We intend to build a formidable party that will form the next government," Ochieng affirmed, highlighting the party's vision and determination.
In the first phase of this mobilization programme, MDG plans to target at least nine counties in the western region. This strategic approach aims to establish a strong and united front as the party prepares for the upcoming election.
By expanding its membership base and solidifying its organizational structure, MDG is setting the stage for what it hopes will be a successful bid for leadership in 2027.
