Daring Robbery: Thugs Raid CS Aisha Jumwa Home, Steal 1.1M

According to the police report filed in the wee hours of Thursday morning, three unidentified thugs breached security at CS Jumwa's - Loresho based home in a well-executed move stealing cash and other valuables.

The robbers cut the electric security perimeter wall and gained access to the house through the back door. The report further states the trio were heavily armed with crude weapons that they used to cause fear among the occupants of the house.

CS Jumwa is said to have been away during this daring attack. However, her two daughters were present while all this was happening and police account records that the thugs left them with minor bruises as they ransacked their bedroom and other rooms for anything valuable to steal

At the end, the three thugs are said to have made away with assorted gold jewelry, three smart phones, laptops and other valuables whose total cost is yet to be determined.

The hardcore criminals also stole 1.1 million shillings from the house even as questions remain abound on why there was such huge cash in the house at the time of the robbery

Cases of robbery and mugging have been on the increase in the country especially in major cities of Nairobi and Mombasa.

While taking the oaths of office, inspector general of police Japhet Koome issued a stern warning to all those engaged in such incidents affirming the security apparatus resolve to firmly deal with insecurity issues.

However, while the country witnessed relative calm at the onset of his reign as the police boss, the cases are slowly but surely coming back

Earlier mugging and robberies were majorly centered on the streets where the daring criminals carried out their daylight activities terrorizing innocent pedestrians and motorists.

If recent reported cases are anything to by, then the criminals have changed tact and are now targeting palatial homes to rob.
