Marcia Cibele Aoki's widow to Edson Atantes popularly known as Pele will receive thirty per cent of the football legend's assets. According to Marcia's lawyer Luiz Kignel, she will inherit his assets in line with his will.
The will indicates that Marcia, the legend's third and last wife, will inherit his mansion at the seaside resort town of south Sao Paulo Brazil where the two lived.
Marcia will also receive real estate and a stake which is in Pele`s brand. The remaining 70 per cent of Pele`s assets who died at the age of 82 after battling cancer will be reserved for his children, including an unknown daughter that the legend acknowledged.
“He indicated the possibility of the existence of another daughter, whose recognition will depend on a DNA test, which could not be carried out (on Pele) due to the pandemic and the state of his health”. Said Kignel.
The woman in question is a Brazilian national who has taken legal steps to be recognized as Pele`s Daughter.
The Brazilian International started his football professional career at the age of 16 playing for Santos in Brazil. He made history in Brazilian Football when he featured in the national team at the age of seventeen
