The Lives of two Fishermen were cut shot in Homa Bay as they engaged in a fight over a sh. 15 cigarette. One fisherman stabbed his colleague in the chest before a mob descended on him killing him on the spot.
The fisherman known as Sikuku Odiko stabbed his workmate Geoffrey Ngoje in the chest using a knife. His was after an argument over the cigarette.
The disagreement began when Geoffrey bought a cigarette in one of the shops on the beach and started smoking next to Sikuku. It is reported that Sikuku borrowed the cigarette but Geofferey ignored him which later led to a bitter exchange.
Confirming the incident, Rusinga East Chief Mboya Owuor, claimed that the two engaged in a war of words before Sikuku took a knife and stabbed Geoffrey in the chest, killing him immediately.
The beach administrator says onlookers were angered by the action and resorted to attacking Sikuku using all sorts of weapons leading to him losing his life instantly.
Police arrived on the site and the two bodies were taken to Homa Bay mortuary.
