Graham Potter, the manager of Chelsea, lashed out at reporters on January 8, 2023, after his enthusiasm for the game was questioned.
Potter, who is under intense pressure as a result of several subpar performances since taking over at Chelsea, was criticized for maintaining his composure throughout games and news appearances. At a press conference before Chelsea's FA Cup match against Premier League champions Manchester City, Potter informed English reporters that he had no choice but to respond to some of their inquiries.
“My responsibility to come to you is to speak in as respective way as I can even though some of your questions are stupid.
“I have got to answer them as best as I can and respectfully as I can because I represent a fantastic football club and I have got that job to do,” stated Potter.
The FA Cup match between Chelsea and Manchester City is scheduled for Sunday at 1930 Eastern African Time. The latter narrowly defeated the West London-based team 1-0 in their most recent Premier League match, which was played at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has won eight FA Cup championships and will be vying for a ninth one this year. The high-flying Manchester City team, on the other hand, has won six FA Cup championships. The FA was first played on November 11, 1871, making it the FA the oldest football tournament in England.
