Cecily Mbarire and Anne Waiguru Make Huge Protocol Mistake

Embu governor Cecily Mbarire with her Kirinyaga county governor counterpart Anne Waiguru have got Kenyans talking after making a huge protocol mistake at a recent burial ceremony of Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria's sister, Pauline Nyikabi in Gatundu South, Kiambu County.

The burial ceremony attended by President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua saw many political leaders attend to condole with the family of the cabinet secretary.

 The controversial moment that hawk eyed Kenyans noted was that as the president got ushered into the venue, the two governors eager to walk side by side on the red carpet with him ended up pushing him off the carpet forcing him to walk on the ground besides the two governors.

At one point, the order of the guests on the red carpet had Kirinyaga County governor Anne Waiguru leading the line which translated to her being the senior-most official at the moment.

With the president's security seemingly unbothered with the events, a section of Kenyans online have showered the president with praises terming him as humble.

This is not the first time that the president has been spotted avoiding protocol during red carpet moments.
