Breakdown Of 2022 KCSE Top Performers And Their Schools

On Friday 20th January 2023, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 KCSE results.

The CS revealed that a total of 881,416 candidates sat the exam, with the number of boys being 443,644 and girls 437,772.

Machogu announced that 173,345 candidates scored the minimum university entry grade of C+ (plus). Which was an increase from the 145,776 in the year 2021 KCSE exam.

A total of 1,146 students scored A (plain) in the national exam which means they got between 81 points to 84 points.

Below are the 2022 KCSE performers, who scored mean grade A plain of 81 points and above:

3.     Imran Yusuf Mahmoud Grade: A (plain) of 81 out of 84 points

4.     Nyamu Faith Njoki Grade: A (plain) of 82 out of 84 points

School: Pangani Girls’ High School, Nairobi County

5.     Emaad Faris Said Grade: A (plain) of 81 out of 84 points

        School: Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Secondary, Mombasa County

6.     Karinga Ambrose Wambugu Grade: A (plain) of 82 points out of 84 points

          School: Alliance High School, Kiambu County

7.     Kasumuni Amina Idd Grade: A (plain) of 81 out of 84 points

School: Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Secondary, Mombasa County

8.     Mburu Caleb Njoroge Grade: A (plain) of 83 out of 84 points

9.     Ogari Phillip Otara Grade: A (plain) of 84 out of 84 points

10.    Diana Zippy Grade: A (plain) of 82 out of 84 points
