On Friday 20th January 2023, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu released the 2022 KCSE results.
The CS revealed that a total of 881,416 candidates sat the exam, with the number of boys being 443,644 and girls 437,772.
Machogu announced that 173,345 candidates scored the minimum university entry grade of C+ (plus). Which was an increase from the 145,776 in the year 2021 KCSE exam.
A total of 1,146 students scored A (plain) in the national exam which means they got between 81 points to 84 points.
