Since the downfall of the club on and off the pitch, the club hasn’t been the same, from selling Lionel Messi and key players in the club with the likes Memphis Depay and Aubameyang to almost bankruptcy.
Xavi has had a rough start since coming back to his club as a manager and forced to witness key players leaving due to the finances of the club, coaching the squad in the Europa league for two seasons and getting knocked out of the Champions’ League group stage this season.
But it was well deserved in the end with the ex Barcelona player lifting the Cup for the first time as a manager.
The Title winners will lift the cup at Spotify Camp Nou having their two final games at home for the last time due to construction being made in the stadium.
Barcelona have guaranteed a champion’s league spot next season and will look to achieve more next season with an experienced young squad with the likes of Alejandro Balde the 19 year old fullback.
