Daring bandits have once again struck Turkana west and making away with herds of cattle moments after interior CS Kithure Kindiki gave a press briefing on the state of security in the country

In a video clip seen by Look UP TV digital, the bandits who are believed to be Toposa people from South Sudan attacked the area forcing the resident to engage in a shoot-out to save their cattle

The attack that happened in Nadapal has forced the area leaders to call on the security ministry to step up and save them.

Earlier interior CS gave a press briefing reflecting on his 100 days in office Kindiki assured the country the government was right on course in dealing with the banditry attacks in the northern parts of the country.

“In the past 100 days I have sought to understand the anatomy of cattle rustling, I have come face to face with the trail the rustlers leave behind” Kindiki said.

Kindiki said his ministry will not be deterred from protecting the people of Kenya

“I want to assure the people of Kenya that neither the occasional antics nor the glorification that bandits are getting from a tiny minority of naysayers, will deter our resolve to eliminate them & the threat they pose to our country's search for peace & progress,” Kindiki said.
