In the seedy Ruaraka district of the bustling city of Nairobi, a twisted tale of passion and danger came to life. When 36-year-old Celestine Adhiambo Oyeko allegedly pushed her ex-boyfriend from the ceiling of their shared home, it seems that love took a fatal turn.

After her ex-boyfriend, Braiton Litoro succumbed to injuries at the Kenyatta National Hospital, Ms Oyeko's criminal record took a darker turn.

She had originally been charged with attempted murder on March 31st. Oyeko is awaiting the murder charge following this fatal liaison that started on the tragic night of March 15.

Oyeko decided to pen the final page of her relationship with Litoro, which had once been a love story for the ages. He was rudely informed of her decision and urged her to stop paying the rent as she took the lock and key to their shared home.

He had no idea she had already found someone to fill the void in her heart.

One night, on his way home, the betrayed Litoro found himself with Oyeko and her new love.

The alleged incident of violence that followed saw the two allegedly unleash their rage on Litoro before throwing him through an unspecified floor.

In a cruel turn of events, Litoro's father found the remains of this violent encounter. He made his way through a throng of onlookers to find his son's battered body; he knew who the attackers were all too well.

Despite heroic efforts to save him, Litoro's journey took him from a nearby clinic to the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital in Umoja before arriving at the Kenyatta National Hospital. His life slipped away there, in the clinical embrace of the intensive care unit.

Oyeko is currently waiting for her court date on April 5th, when she will finally face the cold hand of justice.
