A Former K24 Journalist Who Was Fired Lands a Lucrative Government Job.

Former K24 reporter Anders Ihachi who was fired in 2019 has landed a lucrative job in the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi’s press team. Anders will deputize Salim Swaleh in the Communication department.

According to a document seen by Look Up Digital, the former cum reporter will deputize Ex NTV Swahili anchor in defining and implementing a multi-channel communications strategy, creating and managing all communications materials, establishing a brand voice, and preserving brand integrity across all platforms parts of the duty.

Managing media relations and making connections with media organizations and influencers are additional duties.

The document further reveals that graphic designers will be Gibson Githaiga and Ken Kipchumba while photographers will be Ezekiel Mwanzia and Steve Mukilims.

Evans Tsimbasi, Geoffrey Chavesu, and Erick Nchore were selected as drivers, Evans Edagiza Vilavu will serve as the electronics technician. These are part of the 14 employees in all in the department.

Anders Ihachi was fired by Mediamax in 2019 together with over 100 journalists.

The appointment comes at a time when top journalists have left  Media for various Government appointments.
