Nabii Yohana V, the religious leader of the Muungano for All Nations church in Nandolia Village, Kanduyi, Bungoma County is the latest person to have the law spotlight shine on him as police summoned him for questioning.
The Bungoma police Commander, Francis Kooli has called for his presence in light of visiting the religious leader’s Church.
His real name is Geoffrey Wanyama Nakalila, 83 years old, who is a father of 289 children and a husband to 42 wives with the youngest being 24 years old.
The religious leader has created his own Bible containing 93 books despite the Holy Bible only having 66 books and introducing 12 commandments.
This caused turmoil among the locals and calls for the religious leader to be arrested.
Nabii Yohana V’s Bible’s teachings have been criticised by the locals and started to question if his bible has met the standards of the Books and Newspaper Act.
This is the second religious leader that has been called for questioning in Bungoma in light of the Shakahola massacre in Kilifi County.
The first one was Yesu wa Tongeran, the self-proclaimed ‘Jesus’ who was taken in for questioning for his religious teachings but was released from Police custody after the Bungoma Principal Magistrate Tom Olando, on Tuesday, May 16, ordered self-proclaimed Messiah, Yesu wa Tongaren to be released from police custody.
Yesu wa Tongaren was first arrested on May 10.
