As Kenya marked 60 years of being a republic at Uhuru Gardens President William Ruto conferred 15 Ethics and anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officials with State awards and honours.
The 15 officials are among other Kenyans conferred with honors by President Ruto for their service to the nation
EACC Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak received the highest honor by the president, getting The Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (MGH) award.
EACC Vice Chairperson Dr Monica Muiru and the Director for Preventive Services Vincent Okong'o were awarded the Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS).
Deputy Director, Intelligence Operations Humphrey Mahiva, Deputy Director, Ethics Development, David Kaboro, Ignatius Wekesa, Regional Manager, Nakuru Office, Alfred Mwachuga who is Assistant Director, Report and Data Centree and Ms. Emily Ibeere, Assistant Director, Ethics Monitoring. Were the recipients of the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW)
The rest of the officials were awarded Head of State Commendation (HSC) recognizing their service in the fight against corruption in the country.
