MoH Launches Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign
Measles rubella is a contagious viral infection that can be prevented by vaccination and is distinguished by a recognizable red rash.Direct contact with the saliva or mucus of an infected person can spread the disease, as can respiratory droplets released while coughing or sneezing that travel through the air.
Mild fever, headache, and two to three weeks following exposure are typical onset times for symptoms.An illness that has already spread cannot be cured, but drugs can ease the symptoms. The disease may be prevented with vaccinations. Ministry of Health has already started vaccine rollout.
